Thoughts on Tiger

My thoughts on the Tiger fiasco are relatively few. I thought he was sincere, but ultimately it doesn't matter whether he was or not. I don't understand the mindset of criticizing someone for the quality of their apology. He didn't hurt me, and he didn't hurt you. He didn't cheat on the field. Yes what he did was repugnant, but we expect our superstars to be super athletes and not super moral rockstars. That's all.

  1. I totally agree with this. I'm tired of the media demanding apologies. If he played on a team it might be different. He plays for himself and no one else. He doesn't need fans, and if he was someone who had a regular job and had done this he wouldn't have had to take a leave of absence to show how sorry he was. People are saying they will believe he was sincere if he misses at least a couple of majors, but that's his job. I hope he does come back for the masters. He's a sleeze, and I won't cheer for him, but he doesn't need the media's approval to come back to work.

  2. Yes it's true Tiger didn't cheat or do something illegal, but I would say that he needed to apologize at least to his sponsors. He represents their companies. I would also have liked to see a Q&A, but I totally understand why he didn't. I probably wouldn't have one either. I think that if we ever find out that Tiger was lying at this press conference in any way, then I say this is a sham of an apology, and Tiger Woods is basically the worst person in the world. And if he ever cheats on his wife again, then send him straight to hell as far as I'm concerned.
